Staff Transitions at NFG

It's an exciting time here at Neighborhood Funders Group, and our staff team is growing and shifting.

Lindsay Ryder
Adriana Rocha

We are sad to say goodbye to Yolanda Hippensteele as our Director of Member Engagement, but delighted to welcome Adriana Rocha as NFG's new Vice President of Programs, and Lindsay Ryder as our new Membership Manager as well as congratulate Sarita Ahuja into a new role as Vice President of Operations.

Adriana has worked in the social justice field for over 20 years, bringing great expertise in organizational and network capacity building. Prior to joining NFG, she led a variety of organizational development and strategy projects as a senior manager at CompassPoint. She also served as a program officer for several years with the New York Foundation.

Lindsay is joining NFG after having served as a program officer for the Security & Rights Collaborative at the Proteus Fund. She brings much experience working in the nonprofit and philanthropic fields to support leadership development, communications advocacy, and grassroots advocacy for racial justice, civil liberties, and human rights.

Yolanda Hippensteele
Sarita Ahuja

Along with these new staff members, Sarita Ahuja is now NFG's Vice President of Operations. She will oversee NFG’s organizational development, finance, and fundraising. In this elevated role, Sarita will be a part of a senior team along with Adriana and NFG President Dennis Quirin to move forward with an integrated approach to organizational growth.

These additions to our staff bolster our team as we bid farewell to Yolanda Hippensteele, NFG’s Director of Member Engagement, who will be transitioning off staff in early July. Over the past two and a half years, Yolanda has spearheaded NFG's successful 2016 National Convening, helped to launch the California Funders Working Group on Gentrification and Displacement, supported the launch of Project Phoenix, and made many other significant contributions to NFG. Yolanda has been a critical part of the NFG team at a key moment in it its growth and rebirth, and her impact has been meaningful and deeply appreciated. Please join us in offering a huge thanks for all her contributions to NFG, and wishing her well in her return to her consulting practice.
